Gemmy sparkling vivid green glassy transparent crystals of apophyllite-(KF) to 1.8 cm in length are set aesthetically upon matrix with excellent lustrous colorless coffin-shaped crystals of heulandite to 3.9 cm in height. Minor stilbite is scattered about. One of the apophyllite-(KF) crystals is partly coated by gemmy transparent micro colorless sparkling crystals of stilbite. Measures 10.7 x 7.5 x 4.4 cm in size overall - the piece is damage-free. Great combination that is very attractive - better in person than I think as shown in the photographs. A superb miniature from the find in the late 1990's at this Peruvian mine. Two water clear transparent gemmy glassy lustrous terminated crystals of gypsum are forming a cluster measuring 5.0 x 3.4 x 3.3 cm in size. This is in turn "dusted" with sparkling green crystals of atacamite to 0.2 cm. This all set nicely on a small matrix. One slight blemish is present along the upper crystal edge of the gypsum crystal at right. Otherwise perfect. Complete all around. The quality is excellent. Very fine and choice damage-free colorless lustrous transparent gemmy prismatic twinned terminated calcite crystal coming off a small amount of matrix. Complete all around. The quality is excellent. A 8.7 x 5.6 x 4.4 cm matrix, the top covered by sparkling scalenohedral crystals of calcite to 2.0 cm in length, most at 1.5 cm or smaller. These are in turn filled with crystalline native copper. Very slight cleaving is present but overall this is in good condition damage-wise. Minor micro crystalline quartz in association. A fine Michigan classic! A superb thumbnail consisting of two lustrous deep red slightly translucent octahedral crystals of cuprite forming a 2.4 x 1.7 x 1.3 cm cluster without matrix. Crystallized on the back side naturally but not sharply. Very minor chipping on the base of the crystal at right, on the bottom, not seen when the piece is displayed properly. Beautiful purple gemmy transparent lustrous cubic crystals of fluorite measuring to 4.5 cm on edge are covering a 12.0 x 9.7 x 5.2 cm massive fluorite matrix. The crystals are quite gemmy and show pretty color zoning. The only damage present is on the outside of the piece, due to removal of the specimen from the pocket in the mine. All of the prominent crystals are sharply formed and damage-free. A pretty cabinet piece from this classic fluorite locality! Ex Lloyd Tate collection. A 18.5 x 10.5 x 4.4 cm matrix, the top covered completely by gemmy glassy deep purple fluorite crystals. The largest fluorite crystals measure to 0.8 cm on edge. Very minor and insignificant chipping is present, but this quite sparse and I don't think detracting at all from the piece. A gorgeous large cabinet piece, especially nice for the species at this locality. Very fine crystallized example for this species. The specimen consists of a 6.0 x 5.8 x 4.0 cm massive calcite matrix, this hosting numerous fine brown crystals of phlogopite. The largest crystal is 2.6 cm in length. Very clean of damage, the crystals show some translucency. This specimen is figured in The Mineralogical Record, volume 32, page 55.
